Position Title: Order Selector

Job Description
The Order Selector is a material
handling, labor intensive job.
Considerable strength and endurance is required to safely and
successfully perform this job. These
strengths and endurance demands are due to the weight of the merchandise
handled and the frequency with which it is handled. The work takes place in normal warehouse environments
as well as in cooler and freezer areas where the worker is exposed to very cold
temperatures.
The Order Selector will use
the information transmitted via a headset to locate merchandise and then to
move up and down the aisles of racks in the order specified. As each item is located, it is transferred to
the empty pallet. This is repeated until
the order is finished. The pallet is
then dropped at the dock and the process is repeated until all the orders have
been finished.
This work must be accomplished
within time restrictions, meet all error and productivity standards and safely
using an electric pallet jack (not a fork lift). Prospective employees must meet strict time
standards within 90 days to retain job.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Qualifications

Must be at least
18 years of age
·
Must be available
for shifts starting at 9:00am and work until the crew is finished
·
Must be able up to
lift 100lbs
·
Must pass written
safety and powered industrial truck class
All prospective employees of
Affiliated Foods must pass a physical, drug screening and powered industrial
truck and safety class to qualify in order to job.
